A Ugandan professional with a strong academic foundation in Chemistry and Biochemistry, along with a Postgraduate Diploma in Brewing Science and Technology from the UK. Also completed the Accelerated Leadership Program at a leading business institute in South Africa.
Brings over 20 years of experience in Production and Quality Assurance, holding roles at operational, management, and executive levels. Has worked in brewing, quality assurance, manufacturing development, and plant management, including leadership of brewery and malting plant operations, as well as overseeing barley and sorghum farming activities that support brewery supply chains.
Played a key role as Manufacturing Development Manager in piloting the SABMiller Manufacturing Way in the early 2000s, gaining valuable experience in change management and its practical application. Has developed strong skills in Good Manufacturing Practices, Performance Management, and implementation of global standards including ISO 9001:2000 (Quality Management System), ISO 14000:2004 (Environmental Management System), ISO 22000/HACCP (Food Safety Management), and Occupational Health and Safety.
Has served as Brewery Plant Manager, Technical Director, and Brewery Operations Director, successfully leading supply and operations functions, and overseeing brewery expansion projects, ensuring timely completion within budget through strategic leadership and structured process management.
Food Safety & Quality Systems Expert
A professional with academic qualifications in Business Development, Leadership, and Agricultural Science, with extensive experience as a 3rd Party Lead Auditor for international standards such as BRC Global Standard Food, ISO 22000, Global GAP, Integrated Aquaculture Assurance, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001.
Has worked across various areas including entrepreneurship programs, marketing, quality management, and product development, and is highly skilled in training groups and companies in best practices. Also brings international experience through food safety consultancy work.
Since 2002, has been involved in part-time certification work, entrepreneurship initiatives, and community development programs in both Norway and Uganda in collaboration with NGOs in Uganda, including www.nyenga.no.

Skilled in implementing quality systems such as ISO 9001, ISO 14000, ISO 22000, HACCP, BRC Food Safety Standard, and Occupational Health & Safety. Also trained as an internal auditor and has experience working in a health research institution.
